We are a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness, promoting inclusion, and providing education and resources to families affected by brachial plexus injuries. Through advocacy for equitable birth experiences, preventative education, and inclusive community events, we create supportive spaces that empower children and individuals with BPI to embrace their unique strengths, experience joy, and heal alongside their families and communities.
Experiencing firsthand how isolating and emotionally taxing this journey could be inspired me to create Zaid Wonder Foundation in 2025— a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness, providing resources, and building a supportive community for families affected by brachial plexus injuries, so that no one feels alone in this journey.
Our team is a passionate group united by a deeply personal mission. Founded in honor of a beloved child, our non-profit is guided by a dedicated board that includes educated family members who bring both professional expertise and heartfelt commitment to our work. Their unique blend of lived experience and knowledge ensures that every decision is made with compassion, integrity, and purpose. Together, we are building a lasting impact rooted in love, service, and community.
We envision a world where every child is seen for who they are, supported in their unique needs, and empowered to embrace their strengths. Zaid Wonder Foundation creates joyful, inclusive spaces where children can play, express themselves, feel supported by their families and communities, and find healing from the trauma surrounding brachial plexus injuries.
BPI, is an injury to the brachial plexus nerves that occurs in about one to three out of every 1,000 births. Every year we wear blue and walk to raise awareness for families affected by this injury.
This special event series was lovingly curated to build a sense of community among families and to nurture confidence in our children - encouraging them to dream big, feel seen and live up to their fullest potential.
